Boulder is the #1 Pet-Friendly City!
There is no doubt that our pets are part of the family, and that has become even more true in the past year, where adoptions have skyrocketed due to the pandemic. (We adopted our sweet rescue pup Cali in May of 2020 and she was definitely the bright spot of our quarantine.)
And now we have even another reason to LOVE where we live: Boulder was named the most pet-friendly city to move to in 2021 by our friends at Bring Fido.
Here’s what they had to say:
“The People's Republic of Boulder is the place to be in 2021. First, you can check excellent public schools and ample job opportunities in a variety of sectors off Fido’s moving list. Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, this small city within a park is also a gateway to the “grrreat” outdoors. Bring Fido for a dip at Boulder Reservoir, hike the beautiful Flatirons Vista and Doudy Draw Trail, or meet the local canine community at Foothills Community Dog Park. You can even sign your pup up for a Boulder Voice and Sight Tag for off-leash access to designated trails. With 300 days of sunshine a year, there’s plenty of time for outbound hounds to experience all that Boulder has to offer…”
It’s true - there are so many reasons why the Boulder area is so great for our pups: we love the Boulder County dog parks, and the City of Boulder alone has 155 miles of hiking trails!
In Louisville, we LOVE the Davidson Mesa Trail and Dog Park, and the Louisville Community Park Dog Park, and in Lafayette, the Great Bark Dog Park is the place to let your pups run! The Boneyard at Reliance Park in Erie is a great spot as well.

And thank you to my friend and Colorado Landmark, Realtors co-worker Paige Coutts for sharing the wonderful photos of her adorable pups, Millie and Oakley who definitely live their BEST lives in Boulder.
