Boulder
Few markets in Colorado are as well known as the Boulder Farmers Market. Located in downtown Boulder, the market has been a community staple since 1987, connecting local farmers directly with shoppers through its “growers only” model, where vendors sell what they grow or produce themselves. Visitors can browse vibrant stands of Colorado grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers alongside local meats, eggs, cheeses, baked goods, and artisan foods. Set near Boulder Creek and Central Park, the market also features prepared meals, live music, and community events. Beyond the lively atmosphere, it plays an important role in supporting sustainable farming and giving small Colorado producers a direct marketplace for their goods.
Some info to know: For 2026, the market runs through November 21, with the Saturday market open 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. In addition, a popular midweek market takes place Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. between May 6 and October 7. These extended hours make it easy for both weekend shoppers and busy professionals to experience the market.

On the fourth Saturday of each month, local artisans join the market with handmade clothing, jewelry, and natural body care products. With its spacious layout and family friendly setting, the market provides plenty of room to stroll, enjoy prepared foods, and gather with neighbors, making it both a convenient place to shop and a vibrant weekly community event.

Louisville
Located in historic downtown Louisville, the Louisville Farmers Market offers a charming small town market experience that locals love. Operating near the Steinbaugh Pavilion along Front Street, the market serves as a gathering place for residents from Louisville and surrounding communities. Since its establishment in 2008, it has focused on supporting Colorado farms and encouraging residents to buy locally grown food. Vendors offer a diverse range of products, including organic vegetables, orchard fruits from Colorado’s Western Slope, artisan breads, honey, eggs, and locally roasted coffee. Many stands also feature handmade items such as soaps, natural body care products, and small crafts. Weekly live music and prepared food vendors add to the festive atmosphere, making it as much a social event as a shopping destination. The market’s mission emphasizes strengthening connections between farmers, businesses, and residents while promoting environmentally responsible food systems. By supporting local growers and makers, visitors help sustain small farms across Colorado and contribute to a thriving regional food economy.
